What is e-school?
For people who live in remote areas!

Prepare for applying to overseas and Japanese universities through web and video lessons, coaching, and attending TOFL Seminar!
At TOFL Seminar’s Study Abroad Center, by making use of our years of accumulating educational knowhow and academic performances, we offer a high quality English study package mainly for students who live in remote areas (in Japan and overseas) that includes “e-Learning”, “Study Coaching”, and “Schooling (special/regular classes). As we do for our regular students, our instructors and expert counselors will provide complete support so that you will achieve your study and career goals.
“e-School” offers a variety of courses based on your level of English proficiency and goals, and through attending special classes (winter, spring, summer) catered to your needs, you will receive support in the same way regular students do to realize your goals of applying to overseas/Japanese universities!

Features of e-School

1 You can take TOFL Seminar’s classes wherever you are- in Japan or overseas.
So long as you have a computer with internet access, you will be able to study anytime, wherever you are. You can prepare yourself for applying to the university of your choice at your own pace.

2 You can choose from a great variety of courses we have on offer, depending on your study goals, career goals, and level of English proficiency.
You will use original course materials for the web/video lessons, and receive original course materials when you attend TOFL Seminar, all made by TOFL Seminar’s English Education Research Team.

3 You can receive the same quality study/career support that regular students receive.
You will not only learn from web/video lessons, but also receive goal-oriented advice that is based on decades of experience.

4 You can combine e-schooling with regular schooling and work towards making it into your dream university
Through taking our special classes or regular classes, you will increase the amount of studying that you do and acquire test-taking strategies, taking you closer to entering the university of your choice.

TOFL Seminar has a Japanese Entrance Exam Department and a Study Abroad Department, each with a long history in helping large numbers of students make it into their desired high schools/universities/graduate schools.

Care and Support
Even if you live far away from our schools or you live overseas, you will be able to receive the same services (mini tests, mock tests, proficiency tests) that are offered to regular students at home.
You can watch lectures of our expert instructors, receive essay correction services, and receive study advice through the web/video lessons.
For students who can attend TOFL Seminar once a week, you can study efficiently by combining the web/video lessons with classroom lessons. As for the web/video lessons, you can take them at your own pace, either at home or in the self-study room at TOFL Seminar.
You can receive counseling via e-mail and receive the latest information about exams, as well as advice regarding career paths.
Through our special e-mail service you can ask questions about the content of the lessons anytime. We will never leave any questions you have about any of the classes unanswered.

Free English Proficiency Test

For “e-School”, we will recommend classes depending on your level of English proficiency.
The way we determine your level is

[1] by looking at the score of an English proficiency test you have taken in the past

[2] by having you take a free English proficiency test at TOFL Seminar

In order for us to be able to recommend the best classes for you, we ask that you take the free English proficiency test below if you are uncertain about your English ability level.

■Audio Playback
※For lessons such as Listening that require the use of audio, audio playback is necessary
A soundcard and speakers or devices such as headphones will be necessary for audio playback.

If you see a “play” and “stop” button above, click the “play” button, and conduct the audio playback test.
※If you cannot conduct the audio playback test here, please check your computer settings. Also, please check if audio playback is possible on other sites.
You will need to have installed FLASH player, and be able to use it.
